The fundamental industrial of the manufacturing is hardware processing. The aluminum alloy die casting is essential in hardware processing industrial. Almost 90% of business in hardware processing will involve aluminum alloy die casting products. Most of them are distinguished by the proportion of other elements they contain, such as the commonly used aluminum silicon alloy YL113, which is codenamed LM2 in some countries and 46100, 5076, 384, 383, or ADC12 in others. Although the names are different, the types of metals they contain are the same, with slight differences in the amount of content.

Aluminum silicon alloy is popular overseas and domestic in die casting industry due to its great die casting performance, high gas resistance, simple process, and excellent corrosion resistance.

Meanwhile, aluminum silicon alloy is also the first type of alloy that was being used and then widely developed around the world. With constant research and update, most of the international mainstream aluminum silicon alloys have been finalized, including A356, A360, A380, ADC12, LM2, LM5, and LM24 at present. They are similar in density, heating capacity and melting point, but differed largely in thermal conductivity, tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation.

Select suitable raw materials based on the performance of the target product being produced.

Among the above alloys, A356 has the highest thermal conductivity, while A380 and ADC12 have the lowest. The tensile limit is the opposite, A360 has the most outstanding yield strength, and LM5 has the highest elongation, each with its own advantages.
